General Manager - Premium Sports & Leisure Centre - Uppingham Rutland - From £45,000+bonus+excellent benefits

We are looking for a Sports Centre General Manager to lead a World Class state-of-the art private sports, leisure and fitness centre catering for schools, sports clubs and the communities of Rutland, East Midlands. With the company recently acquiring an additional site, this is a great development opportunity to eventually move into a multi-site leadership role in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with key stakeholders to develop and deliver the commercial strategy to increase sales, revenue and profitability of the sports facilities.

Lead, coach and inspire your management team, fostering a culture of service excellence and drive for results.

Oversee indoor and outdoor sports facilities, swimming pool and health and fitness club, ensuring the programme of clubs, programmes and activities meets the needs of their customers and boosts revenue.

Write and manage budgets, managing income and expenditure.

Ensure the centre and grounds are safe, clean, well maintained and fully compliant with legislation and regulations.

Support with new CAPX projects to enhance the facilities and services they offer.

Person Specification:

Ideally degree qualified, well groomed, highly personable and professional with outstanding communication skills.

Hands-on and strategic approach to leadership with experience working with multiple stake holders.

At least 3 years General Manager, Sports Centre Manager or Health & Fitness Club Manager experience within a quality multifaceted sports, leisure or fitness environment.

Experienced in developing and delivering sales, marketing and retention plans and exceeding commercial targets.

Ideally experienced in increasing dry-side sports lettings by partnership building with Sports Governing Bodies, local Sports clubs and Community Groups.

Flexible to work a mixture of shifts including some evenings and weekends.

Living within commuting distance of Uppingham Rutland or willing to relocate.
