Director of Golf, Spa and Leisure Newport £71,400 + 14K bonus +Accommodation

We are looking for a Director of Golf , Spa and Leisure to work at one of the most prestigious resorts in the country. The resort offers three world class championship golf courses, four retail outlets, leading golf academy, two spa's, two leisure clubs and a range of activities and generates a combined turnover of £10m. We are keen to hear from candidates who have worked at a similar level and comparable property with a deep understanding and passion for golf and the management of a large and discerning membership base with a programme of high-profile competitions, corporate and society golf days. You will be working as a senior member of the resort management team and you will be encouraged to create and implement your own long-, medium- and short-term strategies across the division. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, developing and inspiring your heads of department and team members to deliver an incredible customer experience.
  • Coach your leadership team to develop their departments to deliver their products to maximise participation, aid retention and improve the bottom line.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing and revenue management teams to develop their strategy to drive occupancy, new member sales and events.
  • Full financial accountability; profit and loss, income, expenditure, debtors; helping set the budgets and business plan.
  • Ensure the courses are leisure facilities are maintained to exacting standards.
  • Support with any new CAPX developments

In addition to a competitive basic salary of £71,400, the position offers an annual bonus potential of up to 20%. Support with accommodation can be provided in the medium term for candidates who are looking to relocate.
