Track Manager - Adventure Leisure Facility - Brighton £24,531 OTE £28,500

As a Track Manager for an indoor go-karting facility in Brighton, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage all aspects of the facility's track operations. You will ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the track, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to the overall success of the business.

This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication, managerial, operational, and customer-oriented tasks.

About you:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in the leisure or motorsports industry.
  • Strong knowledge of go-karting operations, safety protocols, and track management.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Track Operations Management:

  • Ensure the track operates smoothly and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Supervise and coordinate track staff, including race marshals, pit crew, and maintenance personnel.
  • Develop and implement track policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the track, karts, safety barriers, and equipment to maintain safety standards.
  • Manage kart maintenance schedules, repairs, and replacements to ensure optimal performance.

Customer Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting and engaging with customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues or complaints.
  • Oversee the customer registration process, including waivers, safety briefings, and race scheduling.
  • Maintain a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for customers, ensuring their overall satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Coordinate group bookings, parties, and corporate events, ensuring timely and smooth execution.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise track staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and ongoing training and development.
  • Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, motivation, and excellent customer service.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Implement and enforce company policies, safety regulations, and operating procedures.

Safety and Risk Management:

  • Ensure the facility complies with all safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols during races, including helmet use, kart operation, and track conduct.
  • Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for staff to promote safety awareness and emergency preparedness.
  • Investigate and report any incidents, accidents, or near-misses promptly, taking appropriate corrective actions.
