SALON MANAGER £27,000 basic £30,000 OTE

Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands is known for its secluded lochs, ancients forest, mountain trails and ski resorts. This is a rare opportunity to work for this award winning group of salons and spas with locations all over Scotland.

As Salon Manager you will need to be fully qualified to HNC/HND/Level 3 Beauty or equivalent and willing to undertake further training in any treatment area required.

You will also have to have at least 4 years experience as a therapist, senior therapist or Assistant Spa/Salon Manager. This is a great role for a first time Spa/Salon Manager.

The Salon has 3 treatment rooms offering all the latest products, facial and body treatments and you will be looking after the therapists and other team members.

Your rotas are set with the hours being the same each week. You will work Tuesday to Saturday with a 10am start each day, so you will have a Sunday and Monday off every week. Benefits include meal on duty, discounts on products and a free treatment each month.

JOB PURPOSE

As Salon Manager, you will manage the efficient and profitable running of the salon. And help to actively markets the salon to both maintain and increase client numbers. You will also be responsible for all team members including front of house.

You love to lead by example and are an excellent role model demonstrating the highest standard of professionalism at all times.

You will complete a comprehensive check of the salon before it opens and during the day, arranging for any necessary changes to schedules etc to be carried out. Plus carry out regular room audits every day to ensure high standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

These will include the communicating of the company culture of service to clients and staff. To encourage and motivate the reception staff to ensure high standards of performance and delivery. You will also manage the day to day staffing of the reception desk ensuring adequate staffing at all times and ensure the reception area is presented to the highest standard.

You will take overall responsibility for all daily banking and the management of the petty cash and ensure that accurate records are kept of all client data and that it is reviewed and updated regularly.

Operationally, you will oversee the Health and Safety of the salon and complete risk assessments and take action where needed.

TEAM LEADING

Carry our regular team meetings, one to ones, appraisals and any disciplinary issues where appropriate.

To monitor, motivate and encourage the team to reach their own financial targets and completes the daily huddle sheet and maintains target sheet. And to ensure a daily meeting is held or everyone has read the huddle sheet each day.

FINANCIAL

Adheres to financial guidelines as laid down by salon directors.

To manage retail sales, setting targets and reviewing current sales., to Increase salon turnover in line with targets, analysing past and current performance and identifying areas of improvement.

To manage the budget to order stock, maintaining adequate stock levels and ensuring value for money.

OVERALL

To keep the salon running smoothly, to maintain standards of cleanliness and safety are met and that exceptional standards of customer service are provided at every level from Reception to treatments. And that staff and clients are happy and that financial targets are met and that company policies and procedures are followed.
