Commercial Manager - Multi-site Sports & Fitness

Up to £30K basic, £36-39K O.T.E.

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to drive gym membership, sports and activity bookings and other secondary spend across two fantastic Sports and Fitness Centres in West London. Our client is renowned for developing their top talent so if you aspire to be a General Manager of a large multi-faceted sports and leisure centre, this could be the perfect move.

The role:

  • Recruit, coach, motivate and develop a team of cross trained receptionists and sales consultants.

  • Work with the different sports and activity departments to help increase bookings and ultimately revenue in these areas.

  • Ensure all incoming leads and enquiries are dealt with professionally, knowledgeably, upselling and cross-selling when appropriate.

  • Develop and deliver a calendar of outreach activity and events, targeting local businesses and community groups to increase traffic into their centres.

  • Analyse and interpret all sales data including lead generation, enquiries, joiners, leavers, sports and activity bookings, and work with the General Manager and other departments to develop business improvement strategies.

  • Leading by example and contributing towards the overall sales target for the clubs.

  • Play an active role in ensuring customers always have a great customer experience.

  • Work a mixture of shifts from 9am-6pm to 12-9pm Monday-Friday and close out weekends over a 40-hour week.

The person.

  • An outgoing professional disposition with ambition and drive in abundance.

  • A can-do attitude who will lead by example.

  • Experience of managing teams through the full sales cycle, possibly as a Sales Manager, Deputy General Manager, Club Manager, Business Development Manager or Commercial Manager, ideally within the health and fitness/leisure/sports industry.

  • Experience of planning and delivery of outreach activities.

  • Evidence of high performance in previous commercial roles.

  • A demonstrable passion for health and fitness.

  • Can reliably commute to West London every day.
