Business Support Manager - Sports & Leisure

Manchester City Centre

Up to £35,000 +unlimited holiday+ great perks & career prospects

Based on a 40-hour week, working 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm Monday to Friday,

Our client is one of the fastest growing sports and leisure service providers in the U.K with new sites added to their operation every month. The Business Support Manager is a newly created role designed to support the Regional Managers recruit, rosta and manage their sports and leisure assistants across new and existing sites. The objective is to ensure the right services can be provided at the right time, on budget, delivering a great customer experience along the way.

More on the role:

  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Director, People/HR Team and Regional Operations teams to identify the people needs and risks to the business.

  • Support with the recruitment and onboarding of new recruits.

  • Lead a small team of business support operators.

  • React to all new bookings across all their sites, ensuring all bookings are staffed in a cost-effective way.

  • Audit operational compliance of the leisure assistants.

  • Support the wider business on their quest for service and operational excellence.

  • Working typically 10-6 or 11-7 Monday to Friday in the Manchester City centre Head Office (there could be an opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week once you have mastered the role).

The Person

  • Outgoing, positive disposition, who enjoys problem solving and taking the initiative.

  • Highly organised and able to multi-task and prioritise work at pace.

  • Experience in high volume work force planning and scheduling possibly as an inhouse recruiter, Recruitment Manager, Administration Manager, Office Manager, Programme Manager, General Manager, Area Manager or Sports and Activity Manager.

  • Experience of monitoring and administering operational compliance.

  • Supervisory experience within a similar customer centric service environment such as sports, fitness, leisure, hospitality, healthcare, childcare, retail, travel or tourism.

  • An active advocate of sports/fitness.
