General Manager Cardiff up to 60K basic OTE 90K

I am looking for a General Manager to take responsibility for a well-established, high profile and very successful leisure business based in Cardiff. Working for one of one of the largest and most successful brands in the leisure industry, my client has an extensive portfolio of clubs throughout the UK and Europe, a market valuation significantly in excess of £1bn and a clear strategy of investing heavily in both their operations and their people to ensure that the business continues to both market lead as we as outperforming in the market. As general manager of their Cardiff club you will have a huge opportunity to grow the member count and the EBITDA and take one of the largest clubs in the West of England to new levels. Currently turning over in excess of £5m you will be leading a complex business with multiple income streams across memberships, retail, food and beverage, coaching and activity programs across a huge operation encompassing the finest sporting and leisure facilities in the market. You will be working with a large team of heads of departments and up to 150 full and part time employees whose engagement, interaction and great service with your members are fundamental to your own success.

This is a role where you will be highly visible within the business with both your team and your members, you'll need the presence, personality and drive to make a difference in every facet of the operation and you will be unrelenting in driving operational standards and be totally obsesses about delivering exceptional customer service to your members each and every day. Commercially you will thrive in a culture that encourages and recognises entrepreneurial flair and allowing individual business units the opportunity to innovate and initiate localised plans whilst benefiting from well-established ways of working from a market leading and highly respected brand.

My client offers a market leading basic salary for the leisure industry of around 60K, with a potential bonus based on unit performance of up to 50%, 5 weeks holiday, a company car and a range of benefits including life assurance, free family membership of the club and a company matching pension contribution of 3%..
