Operations/Deputy General Manager -Sports, Leisure, Fitness

We are looking for an Operations Manager/Deputy General Manager to oversee the smooth running of two impressive modern sports fitness and leisure centres in the Fleet area. This is a fantastic development opportunity, with an award-winning company, perfect if you are striving to become a General Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, develop and manage a team of Duty Managers, supervisors and front-line staff.
- Take particular responsibility for wet-side operations.
- Ensure the centre's are health and safety compliant, are clean and well maintained at all times.
- Work with all departments to support and develop their swim, kids, sports and fitness proposition to improve the bottom line.
- Support with organizing regular events held at their centres.
- Deal with customer queries and ensure customers have an amazing customer experience.
- Managing labour and maintenance budgets and utility consumption.
- Deputise for the General Manager in their absence as the number two for the business.
Key Requirements:
- Outgoing, engaging personality with a can-do attitude and ownership mentality.
- Leadership experience within the sports fitness and leisure industry possibly as a Centre Manager in a smaller site, Leisure Club Manager, Assistant General Manager or Operations Manager.
- A talent for managing all things operational (health and safety, maintenance, pool management)
- Preferably PPOC, NPLQ and FAAW Certifications, however if you can demonstrate the ability to pass these courses there is an opportunity to undertake training internally.
- Passion for customer service and health and fitness.
- Whilst this is typically a Monday to Friday role, as a busy 7-day a week business, there will be times when working an early, late or weekend day will be required to support the business.
