Operations Manager 32-35K

I am looking for an operations manager to work at a well-known, multipurpose leisure centre with a large learn to swim to swim programme and wetside operation and a well-equipped gym with an expanding membership base. Reporting into the general manager you will be responsible for running the centre in their absence and managing and coaching your team of duty managers, fitness, group exercise, lifeguard, front of house and café team to deliver the best possible customer experience and operational excellence. As the operations manager you will not be expected to be on the duty management rota but you will be working a combination of shifts covering the peak period in the centre and there will be a requirement to work a minimum of 2 weekend days each month.

The centre is under a new management team and there are significant opportunities to make a big difference in both the service delivery and the operational standards within the centre, coaching. mentoring and training your team on this journey. As such you will need a positive approach and be highly engaged towards positively influencing and impacting change across the day to day running of the centre. With the centre having a large wetside operation with a very successful learn to swim programme and high levels of casual swimming we are looking for the successful candidate to have significant experience in this area and ideally a pool plant qualification.

The position offers a highly competitive basic salary of 32-36K depending on experience, there are significant opportunities for further career progression.
