Operations Manager 27K Leading Leisure Venue

I am looking for an operations manager to work at a high profile and very successful sporting and leisure complex in Scarborough. With a wide range of sporting facilities including a large gym and multiple swimming pools the centre has a very high daily footfall of both members and pay as you go customers making this an exciting place to work. As operations manager you will be leading and coaching your team of duty managers to deliver the highest possible levels of customer service, operational excellence and health and safety across the centre whilst also managing both the lifeguard and cleaning teams.

As operations manager you will be working a combination of shifts which will typically include 2 duty management shifts per week with the other 3 shifts being admin shifts with typical hours of 9-5 or 10-6pm. You will be working 1 weekend in 3.

We are keen to hear from candidates who have previous management experience working in a similar leisure or hospitality operation which could include health and fitness clubs, holiday parks, hotels or visitor attractions. Key is your ability to coach and lead your duty managers and to have the presence and experience to have responsibility for the centre in the absence of the General Manager. You will ideally have a pool plant qualification but if not training can be provided.
