General Manager - Marina & Waterside

Kingston-Upon-Hull

£30,000+ 30% bonus potential + excellent benefits.

We are looking for a General Manager to manage a busy Marina and Waterside complex in Kingston-Upon-Hull. Our client is a diverse nationwide leisure business growing fast through acquisitions and redevelopments, so it is an exciting time to be joining them.

Benefits include a basic salary of £30,000 for a 37.5 hour week, 30% annual bonus, 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), 6% matched pension, Private Healthcare, Life Assurance and big discounts on moorings, gyms and much more. The biggest benefit though, is the continued investment into your professional development to move into multi-site management.

The role:

  • Coach, support and inspire your operational team to be the best they can be every day.
  • Strive to deliver a fantastic customer experience to both your leisure customers and long-term residents, building meaningful relationships along the way.
  • Ensure the facilities and amenities are clean, safe and well maintained at all times.
  • Maximise occupancy on moorings/berth rentals.
  • Typically working 9-5 Mon-Friday with the expectation of the occasional evening or weekend to interact with the leisure guests and to undertake training.

The person:

  • Genuine, warm personality with a flair for great customer service and hospitality.
  • Hands-on approach to leadership and ownership mentality.
  • Team leadership experience possibly as a Centre Manager, General Manager, Club Manager, Community Manager, Property Manager, or even Operations Manager ready to step up.
  • Strong operator with experience managing in a busy multi-faceted leisure, serviced property, retail or hospitality business.
