Finance Manager

Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire

£50,000-£55,000 pro rata

Part-time 24-30 hours per week Monday to Friday.

We are looking for a commercially astute fully qualified accountant to lead the finance function of a diverse group who provide mechanical products and service contracts to the leisure and tourism markets.

Reporting into the Managing Director, this is a hands-on varied role working across the different companies, collaborating with multiple stake holders, leading a team of two finance administrators, and taking responsibility for the group's financial reporting, controls and management information.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts.

• Produce management reports, financial analysis and KPI reporting.

• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flow forecasts.

• Monitor financial performance and investigate variances.

• Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations completed by the Finance Administrators.

• Review and submit VAT returns and ensure statutory compliance.

• Maintain strong financial controls and recommend process improvements.

• Liaise with external accountants and support year-end accounts.

• Lead, support and develop two Finance Administrators.

• Provide financial insight to support the operational and commercial leadership teams.

The ideal candidate

• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification

• Experience preparing management accounts for a diverse commercial enterprise.

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.

• Strong Excel and accounting systems knowledge.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• A hands-on approach and willingness to support operational finance activities.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.
