Assistant General Manager - Fast track to GM - Sheffield
£18-22K O.T.E + 100% of personal training +career development

Our client is one of the most successful gym brands in the U.K., with a fantastic gym product and industry leading internal development strategy. We are looking for a strong Assistant General Manager at their Sheffield club who has the potential to manage their own site within 12-months to help drive their business forward.

The role of the Assistant General Manager is a completely multi-functional, fast paced and hands-on role with plenty of responsibility. Particular focus will be on driving brand standards, customer service levels and making the fitness product the best it can be. You will help recruit, coach, develop and motivate a team of personal trainers, manage the group exercise timetable and instil a positive and fun working environment. You will also lead on outreach activity in the local area to spread the word that your gym is the best in town! The post holder will also act as General Manager in the General Manager's absence.

To be considered for the Assistant General Manager post you will have at least 2-years operational gym management experience within the health and fitness industry and be minimum REPS level 3 qualified. The ability to teach basic group exercise classes would be a distinct advantage but training can be provided. Experience of driving sales activity through the planning and implementation of lead generation campaigns would be hugely beneficial, particularly within the local area. You will be the type of manager who enjoys leading from the front and engaging with members, not a back office manager so an outgoing disposition and a passion for health and fitness and customer service is essential

Key benefits include up to £4000 in performance bonuses, 100% of the personal training income you generate outside of your hours, 28 days holiday, your birthday off and free membership. The biggest benefit is the continued investment in your professional development giving you the tools to progress within the business.
